Dear neighbors,
Thank you very much for electing me to the Cupertino Union School District (CUSD) Board of Trustees in 1995 and re-electing me with the highest number of votes in 1999. I am honored to have served you for two full terms and proud of my many accomplishments. I am now ready to take on the greater challenges of working with you to make our city become an even better place to raise our families and be proud.
Our city is undergoing rampant growth without apparent direction. I have the vision, the experience and the proven leadership skills to solve this and many other problems. As your public servant and city council representative, I will among other things:
- Propose viable alternatives to property tax to more effectively raise city revenues without the need for high density housing.
- Exercise prudence on the long term effects of zoning changes and our expenditures.
- Insist upon honest and open government and especially listen to and seriously value your input.
- Champion better city services - better library hours, reduced traffic congestion, better customer-oriented city services, safer neighborhoods, etc.
As a fellow resident and small business owner in Cupertino, I have raised my family and worked in our wonderful city for over 22 years and am here for the long haul. Together, we can make Cupertino a landmark community where people will work, shop, play, raise a family and retire, and where visitors will want to shop and see our beautiful city.
